I started filming weddings back in 2010 and lived in Cornwall at the time, so haven’t always been a Gloucestershire wedding videographer. In the time that I have been filming weddings in Gloucestershire though (about 8 years now), I’ve racked up a few favourite wedding venues, so thought it may be a nice idea to list some of these with a few accompanying highlights films. I could have listed 20 venues here, as I’m struggling to think of any Gloucestershire wedding venues that I’m not so keen on, to be honest, but had to bring it back to 3 main criteria being 1# Beauty of the venue and grounds 2# Attention to detail 3# Attentiveness of the staff towards the couple and their guests.
I was pretty lucky to be able to build a portfolio in Gloucestershire, as it offers such a diverse range of environments from sleek Cheltenham Hotels to quaint Cotswolds barns and everything in-between. I’ve found it’s a bit of a destination wedding location, as many of the couples who choose to marry there have no connection with the area other than recognising that it’s a super beautiful location for a wedding. Geographically, it’s also a rather convenient central location where family and friends who are attending the wedding are scattered throughout the UK.
