So I’ve been a wedding videographer for almost 14 years now, starting when I was 20 years old, and have to pinch myself to believe that i recently captured my 650th wedding. This has given me a certain amount of priceless experience and wedding videographer intuition which I’ve found allows couples to relax on the day, safe in the knowledge that they’ll get a wedding video that they absolutely love. Within these 500 or so weddings, I’ve filmed everything from 2 person elopements right through to 700 guest Hindu weddings and everything in between, which has given me a certain confidence that I can rock up and do my thing to a super consistent and high standard whatever your special day may be.
“It all started when”… hmm now I feel like to should follow with a great anecdote of how I got into becoming a wedding videographer, but essentially I didn’t want to follow through with what I qualified todo at university, Environmental Health, so instead spent the remainder of my student loan on a camera and spent the following weeks binge-watching youtube tutorials on how to use the thing. I tried my hand at music videos, promotional videos and heck I even filmed a school prom at one stage, but eventually, I stumbled across an opportunity to film a wedding and a few things clicked …“and the rest is history”.
A bit about me personally, when not in wedding videographer mode; I’m a husband to my childhood sweetheart of 17 years, Emily, and father to our 3 young children. We all live in a little 200-year-old cottage and live a pretty cliche rural life! I say i’m an avid snowboarder, but just the chance is a fine thing these days, i have however become a full-on gardening nerd.
